Carmen's Q & A:
1) Would you mind telling a background about yourself?

Carmen: I was born and raised in Lehigh Valley, PA (outside of Philadelphia, PA) with one older sister. I grew up performing in all types of plays, dance groups, and many local talent shows. I put music on hold to finish college and hold a BS in accounting from UNC Charlotte. I packed my car and came to Atlanta to land a job in my field and am now pursuing music full force with all the resources that Atlanta has to offer me as an R&B artist/ I would like to think I am fun to be around as I have so many interests including swimming, stand-up comedy, modeling, acting, psychology, astrology, finance, the list goes on.

2) How long you been writing and singing?

Carmen: I started writing poems and songs at 8 years old and have been singing since I was 2 years old. It's true, my mom has it on tape where I am singing Whitney Houston "I Will Always Love You" as I am a calling my mom to het her attention before the big loud part in the song. My debut performance was when I was 19 at my school's talent show. I have been performing ever since.

3) Did you play any instrument when you was little?

Carmen: Yes, I taught myself basic keyboard, and also played trumpet in middle school.

4) Is any of your family members are musicians or something?

Carmen: My grandfather on my mom's side sings a lot, but no one other than him really. My mom is a huge music fan so I grew up going to concerts with her. She spoiled me a little, but it really made me appreciate the art of live performance and sparked that fire in me.

5) Why the title Tunnel Vision? Who are the producers you worked with on the project?

Carmen: Tunnel Vision is an experience that I have a lot, and many people have, after they are "trying to get out" of a place or situation. Everything is blurred but the exit. I was inspired by a bad relationship that ended and essentially shot me through the tunnel where I traveled and worked a lot and found myself never looking at that low point. Tunnel vision is how I approach success and the pursuit of my own happiness. All the songs are produced by Marvel D, who I found on Sound Cloud. I connected a lot of my poems that I had already written, to his beats. The track "Tunnel Vision" produced by Young N Fly beats, rest are by Marvel D.

6) What's the concept of Tunnel Vision? With this blurred, but at the same time, focused vision, comes a heavy uncertainty. Some left over anger, "Rotten Apple, and flat out indecision, "Trapeze Bar". Within my debut EP, I am trying depict what I am going through in my 20's as I do not quite know who I am fully, and the same for my peers around me.

7) If you could write a song for any of your favorite artists who would it be?

Carmen: Currently, it would be Ariana Grande. I love her so much and truly respect her as a vocalist. I feel like anything I would write she would sing it perfectly.

8) Who are the artists did you grew up listening to?

Carmen: Toni Braxton, Aaliyah, Christina Aguilera, and Alicia Keys were always in heavy rotation.

9) Where do you see yourself in five years?

Carmen: On tour and of course closer to a Grammy nomination!

10) You have any special words to say to your fans who supported you?

Carmen: I am so grateful for everyone who has supported me and believed in me. All feedback is welcomed, and through social media, I am really happy to have that close relationship to those who appreciate my songs and my stories. Let's go 2017 #TunnelVision
